Content scheduling

Basics of schedule planning using scheduling software.
The course covers:
- schedule levels
- special schedules
- completion schedule
Schedule types:
- segment schedules
- time-space diagram (slash schedule)
- schedule vignette
- cadence schedule
Completion in the spring of the 2nd year

Objective

Opiskelija osaa laatia resursseihin ja määriin perustuvan aikataulun eri muodoissa mm. jana-aikataulu ja paikka-aikakaavio. Hän osaa eri aikataulutasot kuten mm. yleis- rakennusvaihe- ja viikkoaikataulu. Hän tietää aikataulun valvonnan ja ohjauksen merkityksen projektin toteutuksessa, ja osaa tehdä tarvittaessa korjaustoimenpiteitä. Hän tuntee eri työmenetelmien sisällöt ja osaa etsiä tiedostoista ja lähteistä resurssi- ja menekkitiedot aikataulujen laadintaan. Hän osaa käyttää aikataulujen laadinnassa projektinhallintaohjelmaa.

Teaching methods

Contact teaching, advance assignments, class assignments, practice assignments, as well as group and pair assignments and peer assessments.

There is no exam in the course.

Lectures, discussions, exercises.

Student workload

Individual work, group work and peer assessments. Learning from feedback and giving feedback. Applying what has been learned to exercises.
TOTAL 81 h, including assigned tasks and exercises and contact teaching.

Evaluation methods and criteria

Assignments given on the Itslearning platform. Pre-assignments are graded on a scale of pass (1) / fail (0) and learning assignments on a scale of 0–5. The assessment criteria are presented separately in the learning assignments. The grade for the course is formed as the average of the grades for the learning assignments (with an emphasis on personal assignments), provided that all pre-assignments have been completed with a pass.

No participation in teaching (or substitute assignments) has been made and assignments have not been completed or returned.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student demonstrates that he/she has mastered the basics of each area (see course content), but the learning tasks are limited and the issues are not addressed in the way required by the assignment.
Assignment assessments focus on quantitative tasks.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student demonstrates mastery of each area (see course content) based on the content and scope of the learning tasks.
Assignments are assessed with an emphasis on quantitative tasks.
A grade of 4 requires that the assigned tasks be completed according to the schedule.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Assignments completed, instructions and schedule followed, and application of subject areas and knowledge, as well as deepening using sources. A commendable grade requires success in all areas.
The grade is determined based on the assessment of completed assignments, with emphasis on individual assignments.
The grade requires that the assigned assignments be completed according to the schedule.
