Evaluation scale

H-5

Objective

The student understands what computer-aided structural design is and how it is utilized. They can model beams, frames and slab structures using Finite Element Method (FEM) software, apply loads to them, and analyze the results. The student is also capable of generating a report based on the calculations.

Content

-Finite element analysis software (Robot Structural Analysis Professional)
-Simple bar design by code for different materials
-Design of steel frame
-Design of 2D truss
-Design of 3D steel structure
-P-Delta-analysis
-Design of reinforced concrete slab
