Objectives

The student will
• be aware of the state of health and well-being in Finland and the factors affecting them.
• understand the structure of the Finnish social and healthcare service system.
• understand the principles of a sustainability in healthcare system
• recognise ecologically, socially, culturally and economically sustainable development as part of their work and act responsibly as professionals and members of society.
• know how to use information related to their field to find, implement and establish sustainable solutions and operating models.
• understand sustainability challenges, their interdependencies and many aspects of issues and problems.
• know the basics of intrapreneurship and entrepreneurship in healthcare sector

- 54 h Social and Health services (Independent working in Itslearning)
- 27 h BASICS OF ENTRPREUNERSHIP (8 h face to face teaching, 19 h independent working)
- 54 h Sustainable Health care (13 h face to face teaching, 41 h independent working)

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

FAILED:
Failure to complete assigned tasks.
The answers to the tasks lack any recognizable structure, but instead contain isolated, unrelated excerpts.
The content of the tasks does not answer the question or the use of concepts is incorrect. The sources are one-sided or unreliable, or no sources have been used at all.

APPROVED:
The content of the tasks demonstrates thorough mastery of the subject, which is clearly defined taking into account the assignment.
The answer demonstrates a versatile mastery of concepts. The issues are expressed precisely and justified in a diverse and critical manner.
The sources are up-to-date and reliable. The references to the sources have been made carefully in accordance with the instructions.

Course Registration:
Students must register for the course implementation in the study information system during the designated registration period.
The teacher will confirm the list of participants no later than after the registration period has ended.

The teacher will accept or reject registrations based on the following priority criteria:
- Fulfillment of prerequisites. It is the student's responsibility to ensure that the prerequisites are met before registering. The teacher has the right to reject the registration if the prerequisites are not fulfilled.

- The course is included in the student's personal study plan
