Note! This course is a joint implementation for both Finnish-speaking and international students. The language is English. You will get to practice what it’s like to work in a multinational project. You do not need excellent language skills to succeed in the course, and language proficiency is not assessed in the evaluation.

Between January 14 and May 13, 2025, 17 days have been reserved for R&D project training. Work shifts should not be reserved for project working days

Objective

• you are able to work as a responsible member of a project team
• you are able to collaborate with different stakeholders and partners
• you are able to communicate and report the different stages and results of your project
• you know how to promote the fulfilment of sustainability principles and apply them to your own actions

Materials

1. Study material related to project planning, implementation and evaluation is distributed to the student at the beginning of the course in the itslearning environment

There is no exam during the study unit.

Pedagogic approaches and sustainable development

1. Students complete an assignment related to the production and development of a service based on the needs of working life.
2. The study takes place under the leadership of the project manager and under the coaching of the client in a student team

Completion alternatives

A student can apply for credits for study courses
1. By replacing it with an earlier project surface of the same extent
The approval decision must be made by 13 January 2026 at the latest.

- Wednesday Project Days 130t (work is planned in the project plan)

1. Participation in project team work, pass/fail
2. Accepted completion of assignment, pass/fail
3. Completing team self-assessment, pass/fail
4. Personal working time monitoring and self-assessment pass/fail

1. Evaluation of the achievement of the project's result objectives

2. Overall evaluation of the course
