Objective

After completing the course, the student will be able to:

Analyze a company's income statement, balance sheet, and key financial ratios.
Evaluate market situations, their changes, and their impact on the company's operations.
Understand the significance of financial ratios and their influence on business decision-making.
Apply various competitive strategies to different market situations.

Evaluation methods and criteria

The assessment consists of the following:
The preliminary assignment must be returned on time and be approved in order for the student to participate in the business game itself
You must participate in both business game days full-time in order to pass the course
The final assignment must be returned on time and is assessed as Failed, 1-5, and the grade for the entire course is based on this.

The use of artificial intelligence varies depending on the learning tasks. Instructions on its use are provided in the course for each task, see Its.

Failed (0)

The course is failed, if the student has not participated in both business game days full-time, or
has received a failing grade for the pre-assignment or the final assignment.

The pre-assignment is considered failed if all required concepts have not been explained based on the source material, or if artificial intelligence has been used in its creation, or if it is returned late.

The final assignment is failed if it is not considered to meet the requirements for the lowest acceptable grade (1), or it has not been returned on time.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Has submitted all assignments on time. Demonstrates a superficial understanding of the course content in the learning tasks. The use of source materials is sparse, the text contains factual/conceptual errors and/or the work is lacking in content/disorganized/unpolished in appearance.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Has submitted all assignments on time. Demonstrates a good understanding of the course content in the learning tasks and is able to apply what has been learned. The learning tasks are well-crafted and adhere to the instructions, the use of source materials is appropriate, and there are hardly any conceptual or factual errors in the text.

Assessment criteria, excellent (5)

Has submitted all assignments on time. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding and application of the course content in the learning tasks. The learning tasks are well-crafted and adhere to the instructions, the use of source materials is diverse, and there are no conceptual or factual errors in the text. The presented perspectives and arguments are well-founded, and the learning tasks reflect a critical and investigative approach.
