Student workload

The course includes lab-intensive, practical assignments conducted in a simulated or real exercise environment. Tasks vary by role and may include system protection, threat detection, log analysis, and reporting. The workload corresponds to 5 ECTS (approximately 135 hours of student work).

Evaluation methods and criteria

Assessment is based on:
• Technical performance and tool usage
• Threat detection and incident response
• Role-based execution and teamwork
• Communication and reporting
• Reflection and learning analysis

Grading Scale:
• <50% = Fail
• 50–59% = Grade 1
• 60–69% = Grade 2
• 70–79% = Grade 3
• 80–89% = Grade 4
• ≥90% = Grade 5
Grades are determined by the quality and quantity of completed tasks, role performance, and engagement in the exercise or equivalent simulation. Students not participating in the international exercise will complete comparable tasks in an alternative environment
