Content scheduling
-In this second course related to strength of materials, the student concentrates on methods to evaluate the deflections in bended beam structures. Furthermore, the shearing stresses and angular deformations and shafts under torsion are considered. Also, principles of buckling and fatigue analysis will be discussed.
Exact TIme table is available in ITslearning portals work space
Objective
After completing the exam, the student:
- understands inertial forces and moment effects on structures
- can analyze the durability of relatively complex structures
- can analyze deformation parameters, such as the deflection of beam structures
- can model shafts and compression rods
- knows the principle of modeling of structures that are subject to fatigue
