Objectives

Student

· can define the needs of mental health and substance abuse clients/patients in nursing, plan and implement care, and assess its effectiveness
· knows how to encounter and assist clients/patients of different ages and their families and friends.
· learns about the methods of mental health and substance abuse care work, works in a care relationship and working group, and learns to use work guidance to support their professional development.
· can examine the significance of their own values and attitudes in encountering clients/patients of different ages and in professional interaction
· has understood the ethics of nursing and bases their activities on up-to-date information
· knows how to record information on the treatment of a patient in mental health and substance abuse nursing
· advances their competence in pharmacotherapy in mental health and substance abuse nursing (Medication Passport)
· depending on the possibilities, learns more about the special features of acute care, maternity care, nursing of children, young people and families, long-term medical care, medical surgical nursing, nursing of persons with disabilities, nursing of the elderly, outpatient health care, palliative nursing and terminal care clinical nursing

Contents
· Planning, implementation, assessment and recording of evidence-based mental health and substance abuse care work and guidance
· Practising key functions of mental health and substance abuse nursing in accordance with the learning environment and the needs of patients/clients
· Practising a patient's clinical examination and treatment-related, empowering interaction with the patient/client
· Familiarisation with different mental health and substance abuse care methods, care relationship and learning about work groups and work guidance
· Understanding of the structure of the service system for mental health and substance abuse work
· Deepening the foundation of pharmacotherapy and mental health

Hyväksytty suoritus edellyttää:

Ennen jakson alkua:
- CV:n laatiminen ja pitäminen aktiivisena harjoittelujakson loppuun asti
- Perehdytystunnille osallistuminen
- Yhteyden ottaminen omaan harjoitteluyksikköön noin 2 viikkoa ennen jakson alkua

Jakson aikana:
- Aktiivinen opiskelu harjoitteluyksikössä
- Henkilökohtaisten tavoitteiden laatiminen SunHarkassa
- Työvuorojen laatiminen yhdessä ohjaajan kanssa
- Väliarviointiin osallistuminen ja itsearviointi, kirjaaminen arviointikeskusteluun SunHarkassa
- Oppimistehtävän laatiminen ja palauttaminen jakson loppuun mennessä
- Loppuarviointiin osallistuminen ja itsearviointi SunHarkassa
- Ohjaajan vahvistus hyväksytystä harjoittelujaksosta ohjaaville opettajille


Jakson jälkeen:
- Palautetunnille osallistuminen
- SunHarkka kirjaukset valmiina
