Content scheduling
A student will complete an internship during the year 2026. The internship focuses on essential practical tasks related to the profession, where previously acquired knowledge and skills from studies are applied. The internship can be completed either domestically or abroad. The tasks for Professional Training 1 must be in the technical field, such as design, maintenance, upkeep, supervisory, or production tasks.
Objective
The aim of practical training is to learn the tasks, working methods and necessary knowledge and skills used in one's own profession. The aim is also to familiarise the student with the activities and social relations of organisations and to give an understanding of the significance of productivity, developed business idea, profitability and entrepreneurship.
Content
The extent of the practical training is 30 ects, which corresponds to 20 weeks of work. Part of the training should be professional training in the area of student's sections studies. Student must report one period of the professional training. Professional training is supervised by the school and it is approved by the degree programme manager in mechanical engineering.

The student will submit the following documents according to the instructions:

2. Signed employment certificate
For unpaid training the student will submit the training contract, so that they are covered by the schools insurances. In a paid training it is the students responsibility to report the employer information in the university of applied sciences system

An approved completion requires the proper submission of all requested documents.
