Tavoitteet
Osaa hyödyntää näyttöön perustuvaa tietoa omassa toiminnassa lasten ja nuorten vaativassa hoitotyössä
Opiskelija
- syventää taitojaan lapsipotilaan kliinisessä tutkimisessa
- syventää ammatillista osaamistaan lasten ja nuorten akuuttihoitotyössä sekä pitkäaikaisesti sairastuneen lapsen hoitotyössä
- osaa ohjata ja tukea lasta ja perhettä kriittisesti sairaan ja kuolevan lapsen hoitotyössä
- osaa tunnistaa sairaan vastasyntyneen ja keskoslapsen hoitotyön erityispiirteitä
- syventää osaamistaan kirurgisen lapsipotilaan hoitotyössä
- tunnistaa tavallisimmat lasten ja nuorten mielenterveyden häiriöt ja osaa tukea lasta ja perhettä hoitotyön auttamismenetelmin
- syventää osaamistaan lasten ja nuorten lääke- ja nestehoidossa
- osaa arvioida omaan toimintaansa osana työelämäyhteisöä ja ammatillista kehittymistään lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön kontekstissa
Sisältö
Opintojakso sisältää 2 op englannin kielellä toteutettavia opintoja
- Lapsipotilaan kliininen tutkiminen, tarkkailu ja tutkimustulokset hoidollisen päätöksenteon tukena
- Vaativat terveysongelmat ja sairaudet lapsilla ja nuorilla:
- lasten ja nuorten akuuttihoitotyö
- sairaan vastasyntyneen/keskosen hoitotyö
- sydänsairautta sairastavan lapsen ja nuoren hoitotyö
- syöpää sairastavan lapsen ja nuoren hoitotyö
- lasten ja nuorten neurologisten terveysongelmien hoito
- lasten ja nuorten tehohoitotyö
- lasten ja nuorten vaativa kirurginen hoitotyö
- lasten kaltoinkohtelun tunnistaminen ja hoitopolku
- kriittisesti sairaan ja kuolevan lapsen hoitotyö
- lasten ja nuorten mielenterveyden häiriöiden hoitotyö
- Perhehoitotyö sairaan lapsen vaativassa hoitotyössä
- Lasten ja nuorten vaativa lääke- ja nestehoito ja farmakologia
- Oman toiminnan arviointi ja ammatillinen kehittyminen lasten ja nuorten hoitotyön kontekstissa

Objective

Advanced Studies in Child, Adolescent and Family Nursing 5 cr lapsy
Objectives
Students will learn to use evidence-based knowledge when providing demanding nursing of children and adolescents.
Students will
- Deepen their competence in the clinical examination of child patients
- Enhance their professional competence in the acute nursing of children and adolescents and of long-term child patients.
- Learn to guide and support children and their families in the nursing of a critically ill and dying child
- Learn to recognise the special features of nursing of sick neonatal and premature infants
- Deepen their competence in the nursing of surgical child patients
- Learn to recognise the most common mental health disorders of children and adolescents and support children and their families using nursing methods
- Deepen their competence in the pharmacotherapy and fluid therapy of children and adolescents
- Learn to assess their activities in the work community and their professional development in the context of nursing of children and adolescents

- Clinical examination and observation of child patients and the use of examination results to support care-related decision-making
- Demanding health problems and disorders of children and adolescents:
- Acute nursing of children and adolescents
- Nursing of sick neonatal or premature infants
- Nursing of children and adolescents with a heart condition
- Nursing of children and adolescents with cancer
- Treatment of children and adolescents with neurological health problems
- Intensive care nursing of children and adolescents
- Demanding surgical nursing of children and adolescents
- Identification and treatment path of abused children
- Nursing of critically ill and dying children
- Nursing of children and adolescents with mental health problems
- Family nursing in demanding cases of sick children
- Demanding pharmacology and fluid therapy of children and adolescents
- Self-assessment of work and professional development in the context of nursing of children and adolescents
