Objective
ADVANCED NURSING TRAINING IN SIMULATED SITUATIONS 5 cr ATSS The student shall be able to act justifiably in a care team of a patient requiring specialist care Contents: simulation of treatment of internal medicine patients simulation of treatment of child nursing simulation of treatment of surgical patients simulation of treatment of perioperative patients simulation of treatment of intensive care internal medicine patients simulation of treatment of child nursing simulation of treatment of intensive care patients simulation of treatment of perioperative patients simulation of treatment of emergency and acute care patients simulation of the care pathway of specialist care adult patients simulation of nurse's independent admission or reception situation

Will be provided in Optima.

Working life based training, collaborative teaching, team based learning
Student workload
5 op = 135 hours, out of which 40 hours is contact learning and 95 hours is independent learning. Independent learning consists of making the pre-assignments and studying the provided material for preparation. There can be knowledge tests before simulations.
Evaluation methods and criteria
Assessment: Approved/ failed
All preliminary tasks have to be returned to their Optima return boxes the day before the clinical workshop or simulation.100% attendance is mandatory in simulations. Active participation is required in roles of an actor and observer.
Further information
The students need to wear their working uniforms in the simulations and clinical workshop.
