Objective

Upon completion of the course students will understand the role and relevance of communication in business. The student will be familiar with the essential processes, concepts and types of business communication. The student will be able to describe how carefully planned communication affects the performance of an organisation. The student understand the strategic importance of media and stakeholder relations in business communication. The student will be able to cope in communication and interaction situations at school and at work. The student will be able to produce field-related texts for different communication channels in good Finnish. The student will be able to find information, assess it critically and utilize it in a goal-oriented manner. The student will be familiar with good oral and written communication practices and apply them appropriately. The student will be able to deploy the acquired language and communication skills for the continuous development of their thinking and expertise.
