Objective
On completion of the course, the student knows how a company can use quantitative research in order to develop its operations, and is able to design and implement a quantitative research, interpret the research results, and evaluate the reliability of the research.
Content
This is a Moodle online course, supported by own videos, which students can complete relatively independently (and thus, can join with various professional backgrounds). The pedagogy is based on the flipped classroom method where all study materials and tasks are available in the learning environment. The teacher will be available online several times during the course for discussion and students’ questions. • Quantitative research process • Basic concepts of quantitative research • Selecting samples • Collecting data using questionnaires • Preparation of the research data • Data analysis: descriptive and inferential statistics • Statistical testing Assignments outline: students complete the course by solving problems; no exams. Moodle automatically evaluates the answers.
Location and time
The course is a non-stop online course. You can do it independently and at your own pace in Moodle learning environment. However, enough time must be allocated for independent study (for a 5-credit course, the student's calculatory workload is 135 hours).

Evaluation methods and criteria
To pass the course, you need in every set at least 50 % of the set's maximum points. So, you must pass each problem set individually. When you have passed all sets, the grade is based on the total points of the course (the maximum points of all sets added together). The lower limits for grades are as follows: 50 % of total points: 1 60 % of total points: 2 70 % of total points: 3 80 % of total points: 4 90 % of total points: 5
