Content scheduling

In addition to orientation and instructions, the course includes four modules: 1) Digital services in the social and health sector 2) Opportunities and challenges 3) Ethics and accessibility 4) Data protection and security The student can complete the modules in any order they wish during the course.

Objective

The student • learns about the types of digital services in the social and health sector and identifies the opportunities and challenges related to them • is aware of the principles of ethics and accessibility in digital services • understands the responsibilities of the worker in relation to data protection and data security in digital services.

Location and time

The course implementation will take place entirely online from 26 January to 30 April 2026. The orientation will be held via Zoom on Monday, 26 January from 15:30 to 17:30. The orientation will be recorded.

Materials

Completion of the course unit does not require prior familiarity with the learning materials. The required learning material and recommended literature can be found on Moodle, linked to each module.

Teaching methods

The course is completed independently online. The course does not include scheduled teaching, but to support learning, students have the opportunity to participate in an orientation session as well as remote guidance. The Moodle learning environment is open from 26 January to 30 April 2026, after which it will not be possible to complete learning assignments or examinations. In this case, the student must re-enrol on the course.

Exam schedules

The exams and assignments included in the modules of the course must be successfully completed by 30 April 2026.

Completion alternatives

There are no alternative ways to complete the course.

Student workload

2 credits, that is, 54 hours. The course consists of four modules, each of which requires the student to spend approximately 10 hours, including familiarisation with materials as well as completion of learning assignments and the examination.

Evaluation methods and criteria

The course is assessed on a pass-fail scale. Assessment is based on learning modules completed in Moodle. A pass requires the successful completion of both learning assignments and multiple-choice examinations. More detailed assessment criteria are specified alongside each learning activity. Successful completion of the course will be recorded in the student register within one month of the end of the course (end date: 30 April 2026).
