Objective

Opintojaksolla keskitytään autistisen, ADHD- tai Tourette -oireisen lapsen toimintakyvyn mahdollisten esteiden ja mahdollistajien tarkasteluun. Opiskelijan valmiudet kohdata neuropsykiatrinen lapsiasiakas eri ympäristöissä kehittyy. Opiskelija saa välineitä toimintakyvyn tukemiseen suunnittelemalla mm. sopivaa aistiympäristöä, kommunikaatiota sekä struktuuria. Kurssin opetusmenetelmiin kuuluu kokemusasiantuntijan vierailu ja/tai ohjattu tutustumiskäynti neuropsykiatrisen lapsiasiakkaan elinympäristöön.

Opintojaksosta Neuropsykiatrian perusteet osaamistavoitteet saavutettu vähintään tyydyttävällä tasolla tai muu aiemmin hankittu osaaminen neuropsykiatrian perusteista, mm. tutustuminen tavallisimpiin kehityksellisiin neuropsykiatrisiin diagnooseihin.
