Objective

The aim of the course is that the student will be able to: - build a functional game implementation using a game engine, - work as a member of a game team, - be able to implement several different game mechanics and assets into the game, and - design their own game implementation based on their idea.

Methods of completion

Opetus tapahtuu etäryhmissä, hyödyntäen mm. ennalta valmisteltua videomateriaalia, työpajoja ja luentoja. Kesäpelien opettajatiimi on tukemassa ja ohjaamassa koko kesän ajan opiskelijoita kesäpeliprojekteissa. Tukea ja opetusta on saatavilla sekä etänä että Rovaniemen kampuksella paikan päällä. Opiskelijoista muodostetaan opintojen alussa monialaiset pelinkehitystiimit, jotka suunnittelevat ja toteuttavat peliprojektin. Tiimit toimivat yhdessä koko kesän
