Tuotekehitys 2 op
- Tuotekehitysprojektit toteutetaan systemaattisen prosessi- ja vaihemallin mukaisesti pienryhmissä.
Muotoilunäkökulma 2 op
- Insinöörin ja muotoilun suunnittelutyö täytyy kulkea rinnakkain läpi tuotekehitysprosessin. Tässä muotoilunäkökulma-osiossa esitellään muotoilun keskeiset lähtökohdat (käyttäjälähtöisyys, kokonaisuusajattelu, prototypointi ja konseptointi), joita voidaan hyödyntää kurssin tuotekehitysprojekteissa.

Objective

After completing the course, the student is able to:
• knows different types of product development processes
• understand the importance of continuous product development as part of a successful business (Schedules, Time to Market, Profit)
• Make a project plan for the successful product development process
• Pay attention to product requirements (customer / user orientation, manufacturing technology, material technology)
• understand product portfolio management (product platforms, modulation, variation, configuration)

Evaluation methods and criteria

Arviointi koostuu vertaisarvioinnista, harjoitustyön arvioinnista, työpanoksesta harjoitustyössä sekä esityksistä.
