• Näytteenoton vakiointi ja laadunhallinta
• Vena- ja ihopistosnäytteenotto
• Virtsanäytteenotto ja virtsan kemiallinen seulonta
• Näytteenoton komplikaatiot
• Näytteen säilytys ja kuljetus
• Vieritestit ja vieritestilaitteiden laadunhallinta
• Hoitotyön rooli tutkimusten toteuttamisessa

Laboraatiossa teidän on mahdollista antaa Auria biopankkinäyte ja olla mukana edistämässä lääketieteellisiä tutkimuksia, joiden tarkoituksena on kehittää uusia lääkkeitä ja hoitomuotoja. Clinical Physiology and Clinical Laboratory Tests, 1 ECTS KLFY

Objectives
Students will
• Know how to advise patients in preparing for examinations and after the examination
• Become familiar with the most common laboratory tests and know how to describe their significance
• Know how to collect high-quality specimens and analyse them
• Become familiar with the most common clinical physiology examinations of internal medicine patients and the related role of nursing

• Preparation of patients and the importance of it
• Patient guidance during specimen collection
• Standardisation and quality management of specimen collection
• Collection of venous and skin puncture specimens
• Collection of urine specimens and chemical screening of urine
• Complications in specimen collection
• Storage and transportation of specimens
• Point-of-care testing and the quality management of point-of-care instruments
• Guidance of patients and preparation for examinations
• The most common clinical physiology examinations (e.g. ECG registration)
• The role of nursing in performing examinations and tests

Pedagogic approaches and sustainable development

Koronasta johtuen teoria toteutuu kokonaisuudessa Itslearning-alustalla ja ainoastaan laboraatiot lähiopetuksena MedisiinaD:n bioanalytiikan tiloissa. Lähiopetus toteutetaan kahdessa pienryhmässä.

Opettaja lähettää teoria osuuteen liittyvän infon ja ohjeet opiskelijoille sähköpostilla.
