The students will be able to
• recognize the key theoretical aspects of photography and place these within their historical context.
• identify the different contexts for and discourses on photography.
• present informed opinion based on their personal experiences on the topics to be discussed.
• apply the theory of photography in their work.

Content

On this course, the students will study topical key theories and philosophical questions in photography and discuss the relationship between photography and society and other forms of image-making. The course also includes a written and/or visual assignment on the topics discussed on the course.
