Objective

The aim of this course is to give the student
- practical knowledge on how to use software for statistical data analysis of measured data.
- an overview of seven basic quality tools (and one extra).

Content

- Data file formats and file reading.
- Data cleansing, outliers and missing data
- Graphical representation of data.
- Curve fitting and linear regression
- Sampling and descriptive statistics
- Statistical tests, Z-test, F-test and Student’s t-test
- Seven (eight) quality tools (histogram, check sheet, cause and effect diagram, Pareto chart, Scatter diagram, control chart, stratification, flow chart)

Qualifications

Basic mathematical skills are required.
