Content scheduling
Content of the course:
Basics to circular economy and chemical engineerig. During the cource we get familiar with specialisation options of chemical engineering, namely materials, food and bio-technology.
Liisa Lehtinen, weeks 2-7 (2 cr)
In circular economy part we familiarise ourselves with the concepts of circular economy and sustainability. We also learn the business models of circular economy via concrete examples. In materials technology part we learn different ways to produce and recycle materials. We also learn how the structure of materials affect to their chemical and physical properties.
Eija Kulju, weeks 9 - 12 (1,5 cr)
In Food technology we learn the basic incredients of food and Basic food engineering processes.
Kari Haajanen, week 13 - 17, (1,5 cr)
In biotechnology part we familiarize ourselves with unit operations and - processes in biotechnology and with special characteristics of bioprocesses.
