Objective

After completing the course the student is able to:
- work as an expert in the social and health care services
- solve problems in health promotion and develop innovative solutions
- understand and participate to the societal decision-making
- explain the structure, decision-making and financing system of a service system and develop the service system to meet the population's needs

- Social and Health care services and their current challenges
- Promotion of health and well-being in the societal decision making
- Policy work, management and leadership related to health promotion

Assessment methods and criteria

Written work will be evaluated with numbers 0-5 by using the following criteria:

1. Theoretical background and references
2. Structure, content and logic
3. Argumentation and ability for synthesis
4. Formal compliance with the instructions.

Other tasks of the course will be evaluated as pass/fail.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

Student has not returned all assignments, attended to contact teaching sessions or completed replacement assignments. The returned tasks are superficial or do not correspond to the assignment.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

Student has returned all assignments and participated in contact teaching sessions. Student demonstrates basic understanding of the contents of the course.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

Student has returned all assignments on time and actively participated in contact teaching sessions. Student demonstrates good understanding and application of the contents of the course.
