Individual Counselling in Social Work with Adults (5cr)

Objective

· you know how to create a professional interaction and collaboration relationship that supports the customer’s participation
· you are able to counsel and support different kinds of clients in their everyday life in a goal-oriented and ethical way
· you are able to describe and evaluate the phases of the client process and develop your work based on it
· you are able to pay attention to the uniqueness of every individual and take correct action in situations with clients that involve conflicting values

Content

· the implementation of and reflection on your client work guidance process
· applying your approach, working methods and tools in counselling work
· supervision of work to support your counselling process ethical reflection

Qualifications

Students can start optional customer group-specific studies when they have completed at least 60 credits.
