Student workload

8 credits is 203 hours of student work which includes 2 hours of practice orientation, 2 hours feedback and 2 hours for activating and updating personal CV to Jobiili. The student practices the remaining 197 hours in the internship place.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Accepted completion requires:
Before the practice the student needs to fill in the Jobiili CV and participate in the practice orientation lesson.
During the practice the student needs to achieve the goals of the practice and complete the hours in practice. The student writes own goals, discusses them with the practice supervisor and uploads them to Optima. Midterm and final evaluations are held between the supervisor and the student. The student writes a self-evaluation and uploads all documents to Optima.
After the practice the student returns the practice evaluation forms and timetable forms to the teacher and participates in the feedback lesson.

Assessment methods and criteria

Evaluation is based on the assessment criteria for supervised practical training. Evaluation discussion is held between the student and the supervisor. Assessment of five nursing competences: customer-oriented, ethical and professional skills, evidence-based clinical skills, teaching and guidance skills, cooperation skills in social and health care operating environments and nursing development skills.
