Objective

Objectives
- Student knows how to use the information technology required in his/her studies and working life.
- Student knows the central domestic and foreign information sources in his/her own field and gains capacities
for independent information retrieval.
- Student knows the basics of project activity and achieves capacities for project work.
- Student knowns the basics of research activities and is capable of utilizing the research information of his/her own field.

Content

Content
- Introduction to IT equipment, user IDs and passwords, Internet, e-mail, file
management and network learning environments.
- Word processing and spreadsheet computation.
- Introduction to the library and information services of Turku University of Applied Sciences.
- Research and development targets in the social field.
- Research and development activities, the basics of the project activity (data basis, reporting)
- Research interview
