Objective

The student can
- describe the changes resulting from the loss of teeth
- describe the factors affecting the choice of type of prosthesis
- describe the factors affecting occlusal determination
- make impressions for removable prostheses
- determine the occlusion of a completely and partially edentulous patient
- perform actions needed in the repair of prostheses
- provide maintenance care to a prosthodontic patient

Content

Parts of the course can be implemented by the Department of Dentistry of the University of Turku.
- Care of an edentulous mouth.

Content scheduling

The student understand from a dental technician´s perspective
• describe the changes resulting from the loss of teeth
• describe the factors affecting the choice of type of prosthesis
• describe the factors affecting occlusal determination
• make impressions for removable prostheses
• determine the occlusion of a completely and partially edentulous patient
