Objective

The student:

• Can define the nursing needs of mental health and substance abuse customers/patients, plan and implement treatment, assess its effectiveness
• Can meet and help customers/patients of different ages and their loved ones.
• Familiarise themselves with mental health and substance abuse treatment methods, care relationships and teamwork, and learn how to use work guidance to support their professional development
• Can examine the importance of one’s own values and attitudes in meeting customers/patients of different ages, and in professional interaction
• Has understood the ethics of nursing and bases their operations on up-to-date information
• Increases their medical treatment expertise in mental health and substance abuse treatment
• Can record information about the treatment of mental health and substance abuse patients

Content

Contents

• Planning, implementation, evaluation and recording of evidence-based mental health and substance abuse treatment work and guidance
• Traineeships in key activities of mental health and substance abuse treatment in accordance with the learning environment and the needs of patients/customers
• Practising the clinical examination of patients and therapeutic, empowering interaction with a patient/customer
• Getting to know different methods of mental health and substance abuse treatment, nursing and teamwork, as well as work control
• Knowledge of the structure of the mental health and substance abuse service system
• Deepening the basics of pharmacotherapy and mental health care
• Is able to operate in accordance with the principles of sustainable development in a care environment
