Student workload

Learnig task
Evidence-Based Radiography requires a systematic method for practice. Your task is to choose
one modality at your department and analyze way of acting / procedures
- Recognize and identify a need for information or improvement
o Describe the equipment in chosen modality at your department.
- Formulate a question
o How justification applies in chosen modality in your department and how committed
the staff is in following common rules? What is the basis of procedures in use and
how knowledge and skills are updated?
o How principles of dose optimization are realized at your department?
- Carry out narrative literature review for research-based evidence
- Make justifiable plan to optimize the procedure based on literature review
o justification, dose and image quality, optimization or workflow
o Carry it out (collect data: e.g. make phantom studies, PCXMC-calculations,
analyse workflow, analyse image quality etc.)
- Analyse the data and write results
- Assess the evidence based on judgements, values, resources, organizational culture and
preferences
o Compare practices of your department to national and international
recommendations.
o On what level is your department compared those levels?
- Evaluate the results; implement them into clinical practice, if possible. Remember in
implementation, it is important work in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Prior to the first meeting student will discuss at his/her department what would be the target of the development task he/she are going to do
