Objective

The student can
- understand the basics of photopolymer and carborundum processes and related occupational health and safety issues
- to use what they have learned in the past in the image construction of printmaking
- take responsible care of the maintenance of tools and materials
- assess and estimate the time required for artistic work
- deepen their personal artistic expression and their identity as a visual artist
- develop their skills in goal-oriented and professional working methods in graphic arts
- deepen their understanding of printmaking as a method and means of expression in contemporary art.

Content

The course will deepen the knowledge of graphic art methods and working methods as well as the mastery of tools and materials. The course introduces the Imageo Photopolymer and Carborundum methods and teaches how to organise working spaces in a professional manner. In the course of the course, students will set objectives for their work and choose the method(s) of printmaking with which they will independently produce a work/series of works. The student will actively participate in discussions, guidance and feedback on materials, methods and expression and will pass the assignments.
