Objective

Students will
• Know how to treat patients individually and respect their expertise and agency in their own lives
• Know how to work in compliance with the values, principles and key regulations of nursing
• Know the key sources of reliable data and how to apply these sources in providing patients with comprehensive care
• Students will be able to interact with patients and their family members in a professional manner
• Participate in professional cooperation
• Learn how to apply the aseptic technique and how to work ergonomically in compliance with the principles of occupational and patient safety
• Know how the pharmacotherapy plan is applied in the process of performing pharmacotherapy
• Be able to assess the resources and condition of patients
• Be able to define patients’ needs for care and to make individual treatment plans
• Be able to apply common nursing assistance methods appropriately
• Learn how to adopt a patient-driven approach and support their resources
• Be able to monitor the nutrition and diets of patients and to identify any risks related to their nutrition
• Be able to recognize, assess and treat the pain experienced by patients
• Know how to perform pharmacotherapy according to the physician’s instructions and have the required dosage calculation skills
• Learn various modes of performing and administering pharmacotherapy
• Learn the reporting and documentation practices required in the patient’s treatment process
• Know how to use the medication passport in assessing their own pharmacotherapy skills
