The aim of the course is to familiarize the student with basic concepts and uses of automation. After completing the course the student:
- Knows why and where to use automation
- Knows the basic equipment used in automation systems
- Knows the basics of sensoring
- Knows the basics of Programmable Logic Controllers and the programming of them
- Can read and understand simple automation drawings and diagrams
