Objective

The target of the module is to familiarize student to apply thermal physics and thermodynamics to dimensioning thermal machines and processes.
After completing the study module, student can:
- calculate the thermal expansion of matter
- determine the state of gas and vapor, and calculate their changes
- determine energy balance
- determine the thermal efficiency of heat engines and power coefficient of heat pump and cooling machine
- evaluate the energy efficiency of common machines.
