Objectives
Students will
Know how to explain the key concepts of palliative care and end-of-life care and how they are related to each other
• Know how to comply with the key laws and regulations of palliative and end-of-life care
• Know how to define ethical and legal questions and how to act according to ethical values and principles in palliative and end-of-life care
• Understand the policies and restrictions of palliative and end-of-life care and the significance of a predictive treatment plan and the living will in the context of treating a patient
• Understand the key service chains and levels of treatment in palliative and end-of-life care
• Know how to assess the individual needs of different patient groups in palliative care and how to apply their skills in practical work
• Understand the significance of developing professional skills in palliative care
• Know how to support the functional capacity of patients and understand the significance of rehabilitation methods in palliative care
