A development project refers to the development of products, services or processes. The goal of a development project is to create something new or to improve an existing one in some way. The starting point is that the development project is related to the development of the student's own competence. The target may be development activities related to the student's workplace or it may be related to Turku University of Applied Sciences' RDI project activities. In RDI-integrated development work, students develop their skills together with research group’s new and current themes. An RDI-integrated development project can be, for example, an article review, an inventory of the current situation or the preparation of a project funding application. The RDI-integrated development project can be supplemented, for example, by participating in various workshops, seminars and conferences.
RDI-integrated development projects are announced through tutor teachers throughout the school year whenever a suitable project emerges and are agreed with the research group and the tutor's own tutor. For projects other than Turku University of Applied Sciences' development projects, the course will be agreed with the responsible teacher / tutor teacher.
