The student:

• Is able to plan, implement, record and evaluate the nursing care of a pregnant woman, a mother who has given birth, a healthy newborn, a newborn requiring intensive care or a gynaecological patient as a member of a multi-professional team
• Can guide, advise and treat patients and relatives in sexual and reproductive health care problems, pharmacotherapy, nutrition, exercise and hygiene of midwifery work
• Can act ethically according to the ethics of midwifery work, and can follow the applicable guidelines and legislation
• Can support patient empowerment
• Can follow aseptic requirements
• Is able to use electronic recording software in the ward and to record key issues in the database
• Can operate in accordance with the principles of sustainable development ina care environment
