Objective

The student knows the basic concepts of radioactivity, the principles of safe isotope work and the radiation protection regulations governing isotope operations and official regulations. The student can describe the operating principles of devices used in isotope medicine and understand the purpose and operating principle of radiopharmaceuticals. The student knows how isotope imaging is used in disease diagnostics and monitoring. The student gets information about the PET center and the work of a biomedical laboratory scientist in PET.
