The overall program of the course

The course must be completed within the given time 30.5.2022-21.8.2022.

1. Self-management (1+2: 0,5 cr)
Goal: The student
- gets acquainted with the concepts of self-direction, self-management
- the student reflects on the content and realization of these concepts in his or her own life
- the student recognizes his or her readiness for change

Methods: Independent information retrieval and understanding of concepts. Self-reflection.
Evaluation: Approved for all tasks Approved– Rejected.

2. History of leadership
Goal: Student
- understands that leadership theories are the products of the era and reflect the currents in the development of society;
- future orientation

Methods: The students become acquainted with the material on the course platform and apply for additional material themselves, if he or she is interested in history and development from the point of view of history.

Evaluation: Approved for all tasks Approved– Rejected.

3. Management review (1.5 cr)
Goals: Student
- become familiar with leadership as a profession, many opportunities in the leadership profession and continuous development;
- understands the basis of ethical leadership
- understands the need to become a good leader, to understand the connection between theoretical studies and practical leadership
- understands management's responsibility for managing quality, performance and productivity
- understands that competence management is one of the key processes of leadership

Methods:
Studying the material on the course platform.
The student completes the exam for the given material.

Assessment: numerical T1 – K5

4. Management of social and healthcare work (2cr)
Goals: Student
- acquires capacity to operate in the social and health environment;
- gets knowledge of the basic management processes
- understands that quality and productivity management is a national objective that must be achieved in all work communities;

Methods:
The students uses literature, learning materials on the course platform, videos supporting learning and slide shows.
The students take an online course as a sote expert. The student completes the exam for the given material.
Assessment: The health and social services expert is estimated to have been completed when the certificate is attached to the recovery folder. The exam is evaluated numerically in T1 – K5.

5. Quality management (0.5 cr)
Goals: Student
- form an idea of what quality is in social and health care;
- learn about the quality vocabulary
- knows that systematic quality management requires familiarisation with quality management methods;
- the students clarify their own understanding of quality as a user customer for social welfare and health care and as a member of the work community.

Methods:
- the students are studying the material on the course platform and considering the quality first hand. The students perform the assignments on the course platform and return their output to the recovery folder.

Evaluation: Approved for all tasks Approved– Rejected.

6. Teamwork (0,5 cr)
Goals: Students
a) deepen their capacity to become a team member and thereby increase its capacity to lead the team;
b) know the team's characteristics and the basic principles of team leadership;
c) develop itself by reflecting on its own readiness for dialogue.

Methods: Studying research data through a single thesis, slide series and video.
The student is doing the assignment on the course platform.

Evaluation: Approved for all tasks Approved– Rejected.

Assessment of the course as a whole:
- the course must be completed in full within the given time window;
- all tasks have been completed and the tasks to be returned have been restored according to the course schedule;
- the numerical assessment of the course certificate shall be based on the grades of the exams.

Assessment methods and criteria

Learning assignments are assessed on the scale: Passed - Rejected.
Exams are graded on a scale of 1 to 5.
Completion of the entire course requires the completion of all assignments and the return and approval of returned assignments on time, as well as passing exams.

Assessment criteria, fail (0)

The student has missed the course and has not fully / partially returned / completed the assignments.

Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1-2)

The student has returned the assignments and passed the exams satisfactorily.

Assessment criteria, good (3-4)

The student has returned the assignments and passed the exams with good grades.
