Objective
The students will develop their skills in goal-oriented and methodical working. They will expand their understanding on prints as a method and form of expression in contemporary art.
Content
On this course, the students will expand their competence in a selected method. The course introduces Printmaking in the field of Contemporary Art using topical techniques and methods. The course will be integrated with Printmaking as Expression II.
Teaching methods
student is working target-oriented, reflecting and discussing during various learning bases and excursions
International connections
during four weeks period students show they master professional working skills and are able to fulfill one’s own targets
Student workload
Apart from target-orientated working in chosen method student researches phenomena and artists of chosen printmaking expression and presents one to the group in meetings 19.11., 26.11. and 3.12.. (Katselutila H113 and data projector in use)
Student participates to final presentation wich will Place at Köysiratagallery during the week 50, latest 19.12.
Content scheduling
The student deepens his know-how and practise in the method of printmaking chosen by student. The course will be put into practise overlapped with Printmaking methods IV so that student can deepen one's skills with silkscreen working until the end of the period: 12.12.
Alternatively one can deepen the working also in another method of printmaking, if so talk about it in advance with the teacher.

Assessment methods and criteria
In the end of the course there will be final talk with the whole team where students by talk and prints show their mastery to the subject. Evaluation is emphasized with the student´s presence in teaching, working process and it's target/object and professional working skills.

No approved practical works and presence in teaching is less than 80%.
