Objective
The students is able to
- work in an international team on a project.
- is able to explain cultural differences in doing business and teamwork
- understand the dynamics of project work with different cultural aspects
Content
- joint projects with International students
- doing and completing assignment from a local organization or organizing an event in or out campus
- focus on working together with International students and client

to be chosen, edited and shared acc to project, student interest and need. All material should be shared
Teaching methods
This unit is based on the working culture of BusinesAcademy incl. training sessions, learning agreement, projects and reading
two mandatory training sessions (3-4 h) per week, other meetings with the team
individual and small group personal discussions

Student workload
5 cr = 135 working hours. Project hours count for min. 80 h and rest of the hours come from topic related reading points and attendance in training sessions (books,TED talks, research reports) chosen by the student himself that are relevant and adequate for a professional implementation of the project

This unit focuses on international and multicultural project work. Internationalization takes place e.g. when a team is multicultural, when the client is a Finnish company targeting to foreign markets, international organization working in different countries or a Foreign company targeting to Finnish markets. In addition to project work, each individual will learn more about different cultures (inclu corporate culture) as well as his/her own culture.

-plan, develop, implement and monitor a project with project documentation (pre-motorola, project plan, post motorola)
-assess his/her own actions and experiences in a multicultural project team
-acknowledge the special features compared to a fully domestic project

Grade 3 - 4, (good) student is able to
-apply versatile project tools professionally in customer projects and in multicultural teams
-communicate professionally within the project group and with the customer and in multicultural business and project environment
-assess risks, manage and control them
-pay attention to the cultural aspects affecting the customer behavior

Grade 5, (excellent) student is able to
