Objective
The student is able to
- distinguish between the competitive requirements in international business vs. domestic business
- define different business models in international business
- describe various business strategies when entering and operating in international business
- understand the requirements for marketing in the international business environment
- acquire the needed information for doing business in the EU.
Materials
Material is available on Optima but students find their own material ,depending on their case
Teaching methods
Student(s) do an Development Project in which s/he analyzes and develops his/her own organization's internationalisation policy
Alternatively s/he can deccribe a case of his/her own interest area comcernin International Business
This course is integrated with Intercultural Communication
The delivered documents can in some cases be in Finnish
Eventual company visit is included. Project work needs adequate research

International connections
Innopeda's cornerstones: internationalisation, work-life connections, team-learning and process learning are applied as there are contact sessions for group discussions which enhance the project work

The final assessment is based on the returned project report and oral presentation

Project Report and Presentation that show practical application of theoretical frameworks in an authentic context. (60%)
