Objective

The student knows the basic fundamental principles of chemistry. The student can write basic chemical reactions and use these reactions in the laboratory work and calculations. The student can describe the properties of acids and bases as well as the electrochemical systems connected to electrochemical cell and corrosion.The student can describe the theoretical basis of experiments and relate these with the concepts covered in lecture.The student knows the importance of lab notebook and reporting.

Content

Topics include chemical bonding, amount of substance and stoichiometry, chemical reaction, acids and bases, elements, atomic structure, electrochemistry and corrosion.
