Objective

The participants are able to describe manufacturing techniques and are able to choose the most appropriate technique based on resource wisdom.

The course will be held in English. Students gather their own material. Material delivered during lessons

Task 1. Terms and Concepts
Task 2.1 The participants learned to use extruder and Injection moulding machines. Trial runs are done during weeks 9 and 10.
Task 2.2 Extrusion and IM task. Groups test the effect of processing on material properties. PE raw material is processed at least 3 times with an extruder. The group then prepares the test bars by injection moulding. Task includes following steps: working plan for extruder and injection moulding (Word), trial runs and test results (Excel) and report (PowerPoint)
