Strength of Materials Course is implemented via Flipped Learning method. All the lectures are available via links in optima Lujuusopin rakenteet workspace. It is students duty to get to know the material beforehand.

Content scheduling

In this second course related to strength of materials, the student concentrates on methods to evaluate the deflections in bended beam structures. Furthermore, the shearing stresses and angular deformations and shafts under torsion are considered. Also, principles of buckling and fatigue analysis will be discussed.
