Objective

The target of the study course is to familiarize student to principles and applications in electric technology.
When course is completed, student:
Has general view to electrical power production and transfer technologies of renewable energy.
Understands the origin and consequences of a power factor
Has knowledge of basic semiconductor structures and circuits.
Understands the semiconductor photoelectric phenomes (LED, solar panel)

Content

- fundamentals of electrical technology, DC and AC systems
- structure of electric network, three-phase systems
- electrical machines (motors and generators)
- Lighting and household appliances electrical efficiency
- general applications of semiconductors used in renewable energy.
