Objective

Student is familiar with the structures and procedures of environmental governance and the citizen’s possibilities to influence to environmental issues.Student understands the importance of environmental policy.Students understands the importance of administrative instruments in environmental guidance and know how to use them in their work.Student is familiar with the principles of environmental legislation and is able to use them in their work and decision makingStudent understands the functions of society's decision making and is able to influence decision making at different levels of societyStudent is able to apply economic instruments and knows the mechanisms of action in taking the environment in consideration.Student is able to use taxation instruments for promoting sustainable development, both nationally and internationally.Student understands the importance of ecosystem services their effect on limiting and pricing human activities.Student is familiar with environmental commodities market, like emissions trading.
