- understand the work process
- technical manufacturing of metal-frame partial dentures

The student achieves the following knowledge and skills from dental technician perspective:
• changes resulting from the loss of teeth
• basic principles of designing partial dental prostheses
• factors affecting the choice of type of prosthesis
• factors affecting occlusal determination
• design of partial prostheses with an acryl and metal framework
• administration of pre-prosthodontic care required in the manufacture of partial prostheses
• making impressions for removable prostheses
• determining the occlusion of partially edentulous patient
• performing actions needed in the repair of prostheses
