Objective

The student is able towork in a needs-oriented and evidence-informed manner in a cancer patient’s multi-professional team while promoting health and preventing cancerous diseasesutilize multi-professionally implemented empowering and health promoting directing methods and rehabilitation support methods in a suitable way at different phases of the treatment pathway of a cancer patient and in the support of loved ones and family members of a patientevaluate, plan and implement the treatment of cancer patients of different ages and patients whose cancer has become chronic, and utilize the expertise of a multi-professional expert groupevaluate, plan and implement palliative and end of life care and utilize the expertise of a multi-professional expert grouputilize and develop modern technology, including virtual forms of support in the cancer treatment pathway that use information technologypremises and methods of cancer treatment researchevaluate and utilize Finnish and international research evidence and good practices in the development of cancer treatmentexplain the significance of risk management and know how to utilize methods developed for risk assessment in cancer treatment unitscritically evaluate and utilize interventions developed for the promotion of patient and medication safety in cancer treatment units
