Objective
Students will learn to
- assess and develop the safety of care provided in the work unit
- plan and implement development work that promotes rational pharmacotherapy (e.g. planning, implementation and assessment of an intervention that promotes adherence to care)
- be able to apply evidence-based knowledge when developing processes related to patient safety and pharmacotherapy
- work together with a multi-professional team when developing patient and medication safety
- analyse the implementation of ethical principles in pharmacotherapy
Content
- Rational pharmacotherapy (medication policy, national strategy for drug information, implementation programme for pharmacotherapy, the FIMEA multi-professional network)
- Medication safety as part of patient safety and the development thereof (incl. risk management)
- Ethical perspective into pharmacotherapy
- Promoting adherence to care in pharmacotherapy
