Objective

Student
Consistently use key concepts of palliative care and understand ethical and legislative premises and their significance in patient care
Be a member of a multidisciplinary group in palliative care operating environments and service chains and develop their activities as palliative care experts in their area
Be able to describe treatment policies and the meaning of the end-of-life treatment plan and be able to guide the patient and their loved ones accordingly
Be able to implement patient and family-oriented service guidance
Analyzes palliative care expertise and is able to evaluate one's own competence and competence development needs

Palliative care concepts and expertise
Legislation and recommendations regulating palliative care
Ethical starting points for palliative care, euthanasia as a concept
Palliative care service system and operating environments
Organisation of palliative care in one's own region, Finland and globally
Patient and intimate care guidance
Patient and family-oriented guidance processes and their development
Palliative care expertise in care planning, predictive care planning
