Objective

CLIENT-ORIENTED SOCIAL AND HEALTH SERVICES 2 ECTS ASOTE
The study unit is arranged entirely in English
Students will learn to
- describe the current challenges related to the health and well-being of the population and the factors behind them
- describe the indicators of the health and well-being of the population and the importance of data in identifying the need for services and the provision of services
- describe the overall structure of social and health services and the legislation concerning social and health services
- describe the overall structure of social welfare with particular focus on supporting work ability and functional capacity and rehabilitation

- social and health care system and its development, funding, responsibilities and supervision and customer/patient rights

Content scheduling

Student is working independently starting in Theme 1 and then themes in order. Introductions will open in 11th January 2021 at 8 am. Last date for returning tasks is 14th February2021 at 23.59 pm. Tasks returned later will not be evaluated, student will sign in this course in autumn 2021.

Student is entitled to study this course when she/he has signed in Peppi by 15th February.
